Ultra Realistic Drive — drive the ring in the browser

Ready in browser

A city modelled in Blender, driven in the browser

The town, the ring road around it and the hills it sits on come out of the Blender 5.1 Building Generator add-on: 64 buildings with real facade materials, kerbs, pavements, street lights and trees, exported as a single compressed glTF. The game keeps the same height field the Blender scene was built on, so the road profile you see is the one the city was levelled into.

  • A ring road with real camber and hills, plus the city street grid
  • Photoscanned asphalt, concrete pavers, brick, plaster and clay roof textures (Poly Haven, CC0)
  • Traffic in both lanes with per-car jolts and collisions
  • Three cameras: chase, hood and a cockpit view with the dashboard and steering wheel
  • Tyre model with slip angles, load transfer, suspension travel and a six-speed gearbox
  • Engine, road, wind and tyre-screech audio built from recorded loops

Controls

  • Throttle and brake: W / S or the arrow keys
  • Steering: A / D or the arrow keys
  • Handbrake: Space
  • Camera: C cycles chase, hood and cockpit
  • Reset: R — sound on/off: M

Car model: Ferrari 458 Italia by vicent091036 (CC-BY). City and road generated with the Blender Building Generator add-on. Textures from Poly Haven (CC0), engine loops from OpenGameArt (CC0), traffic cars from Kenney (CC0).
